The governments of Georgia and China have agreed to cooperate on international land transportation of passengers and cargo.
The agreement was signed by the Georgian Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Maia Tskitishvili and the Minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Li Xiaopeng in Beijing.
Minister Tskitishvili said the agreement was a “huge step forward” in the two countries’ relations.
“All the formats of cooperation with China and the European Union member states is important for developing the so-called middle corridor”, Maia Tskitishvili said.
She also added that such agreements “boost competitiveness of prices and impose additional benefits for transportation”. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
