“At least 3 kilometers of roads will be paved with asphalt in each district center annually,” the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at a meeting with residents of Suzak district of Jalal-Abad region.
He noted that projects were being implemented to turn the Kyrgyz Republic into a transit country. According to the head of state, work is underway on an alternative Tunduk-Tushtuk strategic road.
Work on Bishkek – Naryn – Torugart road has been completed. The third phase of the reconstruction of Suusamyr-Talas-Taraz road is nearing completion. The works on Batken – Kyzyl-Bel, Batken – Tortkul highway sections, parts of Osh – Isfana – Batken road were completed. The repair of sections of Kara-Balta – Bishkek and Madaniyat – Jalal-Abad roads will be completed in stages.
“Special attention is paid to internal roads. The task – to asphalt at least 3 kilometers of roads in each district center – has been set. In 2018, poor work was carried out in this direction.
