Belarus plans to supply more than 3.5 million tons of milk to Russia before the end of 2018. The amount is envisaged in the Union State food balance sheets, Aleksei Bogdanov, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, said.
“Belarus and Russia have finalized the Union State meat, milk and sugar balance sheets. The signing ceremony will take place during the next meeting of the agriculture ministers of the two countries. Belarus will supply Russia with 55,000 tons of dry skimmed milk, and 17,000 tons of dry whole milk. In general, Belarus will export more than 3.5 million tons of milk to the Russian market in 2018. This is slightly more than last year,” Aleksei Bogdanov said.
According to the Union State meat and milk balance sheets for 2018, the supplies of dairy and meat products from Russia to Belarus will increase in 2018.
“Supplies of the Russian dairy products to the Belarusian are expected to increase by 24% over last year, those of meat products by 5.5%,” Aleksei Bogdanov noted. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
