BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ holding company, plans to boost exports to Ukraine by 16%, Anatoly Trambitsky, head of the company’s commercial department for the CIS countries, said on the sidelines of the “Made in Belarus” expo.
“Last year we sold more than $34 million worth of products to Ukraine, up by 6% YoY. This year we have orders for dump trucks with a payload capacity of 130 and 220 tons. We plan to supply $40 million worth of vehicles by the 2018 year-end, up by 16% from 2017,” Anatoly Tambitsky clarified.
He stressed that BelAZ low-capacity trucks (30, 45 and 50-ton) were in less demand in Ukraine for the time being.
“I expect that we will find partners in this segment at the expo,” the BelAZ representative added.
Today there are around 2,000 BelAZ vehicles operating in Ukraine (some 85% of all quarry machinery).
“We have our own distribution network, a distributor, several dealers, and three centers providing the whole range of services. It is important not only to sell a vehicle but also to provide maintenance services,” Anatoly Tambitsky underlined. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
