The volume of construction work in Ukraine in January-November increased by 122.5%, the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Service Ministry reports.
“In January-November enterprises of Ukraine carried out construction work worth UAH 84.4 billion (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol and part of the anti-terrorist operation zone in the east of Ukraine). The index of construction production made up 122.5% compared with the corresponding period in 2016,” reads the report.
New construction, reconstruction, and technical re-equipment made up 74.8% of the total volume of completed construction work, major and current repairs – 15.4% and 9.8% respectively.
In January-November the growth in the volume of construction work was observed in 21 regions. The largest increase was recorded in Zhytomyr (by 45.4%), Kirovohrad (by 41.3%), Odessa (by 40.3%), Dnipropetrovsk (29%) regions, and the city of Kyiv (31.3%).
At the same time, the decrease in the volume of construction work was recorded in four regions: Luhansk (by 26.9%), Sumy (by 3.7%), Volyn (by 0.6%), and Zakarpattia (0.2%) regions.
In January-November the volume of construction work in the construction of engineering facilities increased by 27.6% YoY, construction of non-residential buildings by 23.9%, and construction of residential buildings by 12.3%. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
