By the end of the year, the construction of an underwater gas pipeline from the village of Ocheretyne in Donetsk region to Avdiivka should be completed, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utility Services Hennadiy Zubko said during a working visit to Donetsk region, the press service of the vice premier informed.
In June 20 thousand residents of Avdiivka and populated areas of Yasynovate district were left without gas supply due to the shelling by Russian terrorists of the main gas pipeline in the region.
According to the vice premier, in order to resolve the situation, a project for the underwater gas pipeline construction from the village of Ocheretyne in Donetsk region to Avdiivka was developed. The gas pipeline to Avdiivka is being built bypassing the temporarily occupied territory. The length of the pipeline is more than 14 km.
“The restoration of Donbas, its infrastructure and life support systems is among the most important priorities of the government. We will provide priority assistance to those who suffered as a result of hostilities,” Zubko said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
