The Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) plans to sell 800 million cubic meters of gas to Ukraine in 2017. Furthermore, the company plans to increase supplies to Ukraine in the near future, Maciej Wozniak, Vice Chairman of the PGNiG Management Board for Trade, declared during the Polish-Ukrainian Gas Forum in Wroclaw.
“I hope that this year the volumes of gas sold from Poland to Ukraine will total at least 800 million cubic meters. Taking into account the import requirements of Ukraine – about 10 billion cubic meters per year – it is about 8%, which is a rather good volume for the first year of our activity in Ukraine,” Wozniak said.
The Vice Chairman of the PGNiG Management Board for Trade noted that the Polish company was also considering the possibility of supplying its gas to Ukraine through Slovakia. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
