In September Kyrgyzstan’s gross international reserves grew by almost $40 million, the National Bank reported.
According to the results of September, the volume of reserves amounted to $2,131.21 billion soms. This is $39.56 million more than in August. Since the beginning of the year, reserves have increased by $162.08 million.
The National Bank uses international reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations of the national currency rate. However, in September, the NB of the KR didn’t hold interventions on the foreign exchange market. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
