Services worth $281.9 million were rendered in H1 as part of the general contract to build the Belarusian nuclear power plant, according to the Belarusian Energy Ministry website.
In H1 work continued to build the first and second power-generating units of the Belarusian nuclear power plant as well as the facilities the entire power plant would need. The reactor pressure vessel of the first unit was installed in April along with four steam generators and an overhead crane of the transport sluice. The welding of the main circulation line began in June. Work is in progress to install core technology equipment, thermal-mechanical equipment, and electric technology equipment at the first unit and a number of plantwide facilities. Work is in progress to build the internal protective shell in the reactor building of the second power-generating unit. The construction of eight residential houses in line with this year’s state investment program proceeded in H1. The construction of facilities in the military camp for the military unit in charge of guarding the nuclear power plant continued. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
