Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 8% YoY in January-July, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service’s website.
Retail turnover increased the most in Zakarpattia, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, and Lviv regions – by 21%, 17.7%, 12.8%, 10.8%, 10.6%, 9.5% and 9.5%, respectively.
Retail trade in July alone rose by 6.7% against June, while it grew by 6.8% YoY. However, the service has not disclosed absolute values.
Retail trade in Ukraine increased by 7.3% in January-June in comparable prices, to UAH 362.596 billion, or $14 billion. In 2016, retail trade in Ukraine rose by 3.7% from 2015 (in comparable prices), to UAH 1.159 trillion, or $45.6 billion, according to the State Statistics Service. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
