The state debt of Kyrgyzstan grew by $95 million in the first quarter of 2017 and updated the historical maximum, the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Of March 31, its size was $4,160 billion, or 285,461,89 billion soms. The external debt formed in the amount of $3,803.97 billion (260,978,59 billion soms), and domestic – $356.86 million (24,483.30 billion soms).
At the same time the external debt is 52.8% of GDP, and the entire state debt is 57.7%. According to the Central Treasury, for the four months of 2017, at least 7,507.4 billion soms were spent to repay the public debt of Kyrgyzstan. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
