The State Privatization, Demonopolization, and Competition Development Committee met with the representatives of Germany’s Foreign Ministry to discuss cooperation.
The committee has closely worked together with German experts, including Finance Ministry, since 2009, pushing off the Memorandum of Understanding in Privatization and State Property Control.
German support helped introduce the Corporate Governance Code in 2016, which was soon adopted by 412 joint-stock companies. At the moment, the Code’s efficiency is being examined.
German experts also helped draft the Law “On State Property Control” which was set to be adopted under the Action Strategy.
As part of future cooperation, the sides have agreed to collaborate in drafting the Law “On Limited and Further Liability Companies”.
German experts will provide guidance in IPO both locally and internationally, the latter of which will be effected under the Action Strategy 2017-2021. (UzReport/Business World Magazine)
