Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv), the country’s largest air carrier, has refuted any financial relations with PrivatBank (Dnipro).
According to UIA, PrivatBank board chairman Oleksandr Shlapak in an interview with the Ekonomichna Pravda edition published on March 9, argued that all financial and budgetary operations of UIA had allegedly been outsourced to the bank.
“We declare with all responsibility that this information is untrue and must be officially refuted. UIA did not have and does not have any accounts at PrivatBank and does not have any relations with the bank, except for the technical service of the UIA cash collection at Lviv airport,” the report reads.
The airline also stated it reserved the right to protect its business reputation in the legal field in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
