Azerbaijan and Belarus are working to increase the export of vehicles and agricultural machinery, produced at the Ganja Automobile Plant, to the third parties, Gennady Ahramovich, Belarusian ambassador to Azerbaijan, said.
He added that the industrial cooperation was promising and reached up to 20% of the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
“I would like to stress the activity of the Ganja Automobile Plant”, he said. “The range of Belarusian vehicles produced there is increasing. During the whole period of activity, the plant produced more than 8,000 Belarus tractors and more than 3,000 MAZ trucks”.
Ahramovich said that the plant supplied machinery to the third parties.
“Tractors are exported to Georgia”, he said. “Work is underway to increase supplies to other countries. Another promising project is the production of Belarusian buses in Ganja. I hope Belarusian buses can be seen on the streets of Azerbaijan soon”. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
