Ukrainian producers exported 335,250 tons of sugar worth $166.8 million for the 11 months of 2016.
“In January-November Ukrainian producers exported 335,250 tons of sugar worth $166.8 million, having tripled the last year results. This significant growth is primarily reasoned by the favorable situation on the world market, as the devaluation of the national currency has reduced the cost of Ukrainian sugar in dollars and it has become more attractive for the international market”, head of the Ukrtsukor National Association analytical department Ruslan Butilo said.
The largest share of Ukrainian sugar was sent to Guinea – 22% (25,000 tons), Sri Lanka – 19% (21,100 tons), and Tunisia – 16% (19,000 tons). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
