Kazakhstan will continue the process of diversification of the planted areas of agricultural crops: wheat areas will reduce by 2.3 million ha (from 12.4 million ha in 2016, to 10.1 million ha in 2021), the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzahmetov declared.
Agrarians will plant barley, oats, corn, oilseeds and other agricultural crops throughout the received planted areas.
According to Myrzahmetov, the ministry will pay special attention to stimulation of agrarians to use fertilizers and high-quality seeds. It is planned to increase the volumes of subsidies; improve the mechanism by increasing the standards for foreign fertilizers from 30% to 50%; conclude new memoranda between the producers of fertilizers and the officials to ensure the required supply of fertilizers.
