In January-September the foreign trade deficit in goods in Ukraine totaled $1.761 billion against $710.2 million of the proficit in the same period last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.
In particular, in January-September the exports of commodities from Ukraine totaled $25.875 billion, down by 8.7% YoY. The import volumes of goods to Ukraine totaled $27.635 billion (almost no changes compared with 2015). The export-import coverage ratio reached 0.94 (in January-September of 2015 – 0.94). Ukraine provided foreign trade operations with partners from 219 countries.
In the 9 months of 2016 the volume of Ukrainian commodities exports to the EU increased by 4.4% YoY, to $9.762 billion, which totaled 37.7% of the general export flow. The imports of EU commodities increased by 7.3%, to $12.091 billion, or 43.9% of the general purchased volumes.
The export volumes of goods to Russia decreased by 30.1%, to $2.554 billion, imports – by 34.3%, to $3.615 billion. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
