As of October 20, agricultural organizations in Belarus continued harvesting corn for grain and sugar beet, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food declared.
In particular, agrarians harvested 627.1 thousand tons of corn throughout the areas of 75.5 thousand ha (59.3%), with the average yield of 8.3 ton/ha. Last year the grain production volumes totaled 232.3 thousand tons, with the yield of 5.93 ton/ha, and the harvested areas at 39.2 thousand ha (47.7%).
Also, agrarians harvested 2.76 million tons of sugar beet throughout 64.6 thousand ha (68.5%). The average yield totaled 42.73 ton/ha. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
