Ukrainian farmers continue harvesting sunflower.
As of October 3, nearly 3900.4 thousand ha had been threshed, or 66% of the intended area (5916.2 thousand ha), up by 1.6% YoY (3838 thousand ha). 8382.6 KMT had been obtained with the average productivity of 2.15 MT/ha (in 2015 – 7975 KMT; 2.08 MT/ha).
Soybean had been threshed from 1070.1 thousand ha, 58% of the plan – 1837 thousand ha (in 2015 – 1184 thousand ha), with 2284.4 KMT obtained with average productivity of 2.13 MT/ha (in 2015 – 2041 KMT with 1.72 MT/ha), which was a bit lower than record yield – 2.16 MT/ha obtained in 2014/2015 MY.
