In October Russia will reduce the export volumes of grains to 3.7-3.8 million tons, as opposed to nearly 4 million tons expected in September and 3.5 million tons in October 2015, the Deputy Director of the strategic management department at Rusagrotrans CJSC Igor Pavensky reported.
In particular, wheat will form 3-3.1 million tons from the forecast export volumes of grains in October.
The expert named the observed decline in export activity of the reporting market segment as the main reason for possible reduction of grain exports.
In particular, after settlement of the issue with the minimum content of ergot fungus, and new Egyptian tender for purchasing of Russian wheat, the bid prices for the grain with delivery in October-November increased by $3-4/t to $168/t. At the same time, the activity on new contracts conclusion still remained quite low due to rather high level of domestic prices and strengthening of the RUR/USD rates, said I. Pavensky.
