As of September 22, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 40.6 million ha (on the same date in 2015 – 36.6 million ha), or 86% of the planned areas (47.3 million ha). The produced volumes reached 107.5 million tons of grains, with the average yield of 2.66 ton/ha (in 2015 – 89.5 million tons with the yield of 2.45 ton/ha), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 25.5 million ha (91.9% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 73 million tons, with the yield of 2.87 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 18.4 million tons of winter and spring barley throughout 7.8 million ha (93.7%). The average yield totaled 2.36 ton/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 512.1 thousand ha (17.7%), and produced 2.7 million tons of corn, with the average yield at 5.28 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 286.4 thousand tons of rice throughout 45.4 thousand ha (22%). The average yield totaled 6.31 ton/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 2.5 million tons of the oilseed throughout 1.2 million ha (12.6%). The average yield totaled 2.06 ton/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 631.5 thousand ha (63.5%), and produced 819.4 thousand tons, with the average yield of 1.3 ton/ha.
Agrarians started harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 497.2 thousand ha (22.8%), the produced volumes – 971.6 thousand tons, the average yield – 1.95 ton/ha.
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 39.9 thousand ha only, or 82.9% of the planted areas.
As of September 22, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 10.3 million ha, or 59.1% of the planned areas (in 2015 – 9.8 million ha). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
