Kazakhstan specified three prospective markets for agricultural products supplying: the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, and Iran, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Atameken Tulemis Shotanov declared.
In particular, JSC NC Food Contract Corporation supplies more than 60% of its general export volumes of grains to Iran. In terms of shipments in the Iranian direction, the Corporation uses its own grain terminals at the Caspian Sea coast (Aktau and Amirabad ports), and a new railway line for transit through Turkmenistan.
The general export revenues from agricultural products selling will almost double – to $5 billion, or 1.8 trillion tenge. It is almost 6.3% of the general Chinese imports of agricultural products, or 7.4% of the general imports of the Russian Federation in monetary terms. Thus, Kazakhstan will enter the TOP-10 of countries-exporters of agricultural products to China and Russia, the Deputy Chairman at Atameken Nurzhan Altaev said. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
