The cost of the project on construction of the new international passenger terminal of Tashkent Airport (Tashkent-4) will total $336 million.
The investment project is implemented in cooperation with the Republic of Korea.
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) provided a grant for development of the feasibility study of the project.
The consortium of Korea Incheon International Airport Corporation, Heerim Architects & Planners, Yooshin Engineering Corporation, The Korea Transport Institute, EY Hanyong developed the project’s feasibility study, which was handed to the Government of Uzbekistan on 3 August.
According to the feasibility study, the project’s cost is $336 million. The terminal will occupy 86,944 square meters. The terminal will be able to serve 1,500 passengers an hour.
Construction of new international passenger terminal of Tashkent Airport (Tashkent-4) will be conducted with the support of the Government of South Korea. The airport will be able to annually serve 5.7 million passengers, KOICA said.
The construction of new terminal will start in 2016. Construction works will be carried out within three years. (UzDaily/Business World Magazine)
