Groats production continues to decline in Ukraine. In the first half of 2016 Ukraine produced 140.4 KMT of groats, down by 6.5% YoY.
Considerable decrease is seen in buckwheat groats production – 38% to 18.5 KMT against 30.1 KMT in January-June of 2015. Increase is seen in production of wheat groats (+42% since the beginning of 2016), rice groats (+48%), oats groats (+25%) and corn groats (+0.6%). (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
