At least four large plants, which had been declared bankrupt, were in Kyrgyzstan.
Kara-Balta Distillery State Enterprise, specializing in the production of Lux ethyl alcohol, alcohol oxide fraction, fusel alcohol, carbon dioxide, was bought by an investor from Russia, who planned to modernize the company and expand production.
Kara-Balta Pilot Plant LLC was purchased by a local investor. The enterprise produces mining equipment. Transaction amount was not disclosed.
Asia-Dan JSC in Balykchy, producing flour, was bought by a local businessman for 5.5 million soms. A Chinese investor plans to purchase Elimay LLC (Tokmak dairy plant). Terms of the deal are being currently considered.
These objects were included in the list of enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic, drawn up in the framework of improvement of the economy and aimed at attracting investment, creating jobs, and increasing exports. The Ministry of Economy has included 44 plants – both state and private – in the list. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
