Cooperation in agriculture with Uzbekistan is one of priorities and long-term strategic tasks for Russia, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Sergei Levin said in Tashkent during the International Fruit and Vegetable Fair on July 12.
He stated that Russia pays special attention to expanding supply of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan.
Russian president Vladimir Putin made direct order of the Government to boost contacts with the Uzbek side in this direction.
Levin added that Russia was ready to cooperate with Uzbekistan. He said that Russia affirmed its interest in developing and expanding bilateral cooperation and increasing the volume of trades. (UzDaily/Business World Magazine)
