Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov instructed state agencies to provide Bishkek HPP with local coal, the department of information support of the government reported.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov chaired a meeting on providing capital with local district heating coal at the end of its modernization.
“In the autumn-winter season of 2016/2017 the Bishkek HPP will use 450 tons of domestic coal. In 2017-2018, this figure will reach 1.2 million tons. Local producers at this time must be ready to supply the appropriate amount of fuel. We aim to make full use of the potential of local coal deposits”, Sooronbay Jeenbekov explained.
He commissioned to hold comprehensive measures to ensure the Bishkek HPP got local coal. Transport Ministry was instructed to study issues of fuel transportation. The State Committee of Industry, Energy and Mining will coordinate all government agencies involved in the provision of coal. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
