Production of cement declined after Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. This was stated at the board meeting of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use.
According to the deputy chairman of the committee Kuban Myrzakanov, large volumes of cement made in Kazakhstan started arriving with which the domestic market can not compete in terms of price. As a result, production volume reduced.
The need of the republic in basic construction materials – cement, slate, limestone, brick and concrete products – is met by domestic production. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
