Enterprises of the Belarusian Industry Ministry are invited to take part in the project to set up a Russian industrial zone in Egypt.
The project was presented during the latest session of the joint board of the Belarusian Industry Ministry and the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry in Moscow. The invitation was extended by Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, the press service of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry reported.
During the session Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov and Belarusian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk discussed the implementation of the joint project meant to develop machine tool engineering in the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The sides were pleased with successful work on the project and expressed readiness to put more efforts into expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarusian and Russian machine tool manufacturers.
The sides reached an agreement in favor of arranging practical consultations at the premises of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry. The consultations will focus on working out a concerted view on lifting restrictions from mutual deliveries and on implementing joint import-substituting projects, including in the area of agricultural machinery engineering.
The sides also agreed to coordinate Belarusian-Russian interaction in working out solutions to problems together with the Eurasian Economic Commission with a view to putting together a universal coordinated industrial policy of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in the Eurasian Economic Union field. Joint tariff protection measures in the Union were discussed.
The decision to set up a working group to support export within the framework of Belarusian-Russian cooperation was one of the important decisions made during the session.
Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov suggested considering the possibility of taking part in major international exhibition events of the Eurasian Economic Union member states under one umbrella. He also invited Belarusian colleagues to continue the dialogue in a multilateral format during the international forum on fighting counterfeited products that would take place in Yerevan, Armenia on November 22-23.
