The Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) shipped 1.1 million tons of potash fertilizers to foreign customers in August, a BPC representative reported.
All in all, BPC exported 5.8 million tons of potash (gross weight) in January-August.
The BPC says the global potash fertilizer market is gradually getting back to normal on reports about new contracts made with India and China.
The BPC says it has made up a schedule of potash supplies for September and October and is now busy collecting orders for November-December.
In June the BPC signed a contract with Indian Potash Limited (IPL) to supply 700,000 tons of potash fertilizers to India in FY 2016-2017 at $227 per ton on a cost and freight basis (CFR) with a 180-day grace period. In July the BPC signed a contract with China to supply potash at $219 per ton on CFR terms.
OAO Belarusian Potash Company was created in conformity with ordinance No. 399 signed by Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko on September 5, 2013. Empowered to coordinate Belarus’ export of potash fertilizers, the new company was granted the exclusive right to export mineral or chemical fertilizers.
BPC has regional dealerships in Delhi, Beijing, Singapore and Sao Paulo. BPC facilitates potash exports to Europe, India, China, Central and South America, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
