Representatives of Belarus’ business community will be authorized to evaluate the regulatory impact of regulatory acts on business environment, in accordance with a bill prepared by the Economy Ministry of Belarus.
Posted on the ministry’s official web site, the document will be forwarded for approving to the head of state.
The document says that the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) provides for evaluation of the regulatory impact of decisions by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on business environment. EEU member states are expected to provide for a similar evaluation mechanism.
The document suggests a few exceptions, when evaluation of the regulatory impact is not recommended: regulatory acts relating to defense and national security, export control, business licensing, protection of state secrets, other regulatory acts not intended for public debate.
