On the sidelines of the Energy Platform within the framework of the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine URC 2026, PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” concluded a number of documents with international partners aimed at implementing strategic projects for the restoration and development of Ukrainian hydropower.
In particular, agreements were reached with the European Investment Bank to attract consulting support within the framework of the project “Supporting the Stability and Restoration of the UGE”. The cooperation involves the involvement of an independent international consultant to support procurement procedures in accordance with international standards and will contribute to the effective implementation of the project.
Representatives of Ukrhydroenergo also signed a Memorandum of Understanding and an Agreement on the Protection of Confidential Information with the Swedish state development financial institution Swedfund International AB. The cooperation will cover the preparation of strategic projects, including the development of feasibility studies, projects to create energy storage systems, integrate renewable energy sources and increase the flexibility of the energy system.
In addition, a Memorandum of Cooperation and an Agreement on the Exchange of Information were concluded with the Turkish company Dogus Insaat ve Ticaret A.S. The documents create the basis for cooperation in the implementation of large-scale hydropower projects, including the construction of the Kaniv PSP, the third stage of the Dniester PSP, the rehabilitation of the Kakhovka HPP and the modernization of the Dniester HPP.
The implementation of these agreements will contribute to attracting international financing, modern technologies and expertise for the rehabilitation and development of the Ukrainian hydropower industry, as well as strengthening the resilience of the Ukrainian energy system. (Energy Ministry)
