The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, took part in a meeting of the Coalition Council, where opportunities for deregulation in the energy sector were discussed. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, Members of Parliament, and mayors.
“The Ministry of Energy maintains an active dialogue with market participants. Two meetings have already been held, during which we addressed key challenges and needs. The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has already developed amendments aimed at improving conditions for gas-based generation,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
The minister also recalled that the President of Ukraine signed the Law No. 4834, which introduced a number of innovations for gas turbine and gas piston generation facilities.
The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy underlined that the Government would continue to work with the market to address outstanding issues and implement solutions that would strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system. (Government portal)
