In January-February, 530 payers of parking fees transferred UAH 38.1 million to local budgets. This is 13.6% more than in the same period last year. Then, budgets received UAH 33.5 million.
Large regions traditionally remain the leaders in terms of payment volumes. The largest revenues were provided by:
– Odesa region – UAH 13.7 million;
– Lviv region – UAH 9.6 million;
– Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 8.6 million;
– Ivano-Frankivsk region – UAH 1.8 million.
The fee for parking spaces for vehicles is one of the sources of replenishment of local budgets. It is these funds that are directed to the development of urban infrastructure: the arrangement of parking lots, road maintenance, improving road safety and creating a comfortable urban space. Timely and full payment of the fee directly affects the quality of services for residents of communities and drivers.
Land plots allocated for free parking of vehicles driven by drivers with disabilities or drivers transporting disabled persons are not subject to taxation by the fee.
The number of such spaces must be at least 10% of the total number of parking spaces in specially equipped or allocated areas.
If the area is small, at least one space must be allocated.
