In 2026, the tourist tax continues to demonstrate confident growth dynamics. In January-February, more than 5 thousand payers sent UAH 72.5 million to the budgets. This is 25% more than last year (UAH 58 million).
The largest revenues were traditionally provided by regions that are attractive to tourists. The leader was the city of Kyiv – UAH 16.2 million. Significant amounts also came from:
– Lviv region – UAH 15 million;
– Ivano-Frankivsk region – UAH 11.8 million;
– Zakarpattia region – UAH 5.9 million.
Tourist tax is an important source of funding for local budgets. Thanks to these funds, communities have the opportunity to develop infrastructure, improve tourist locations, support the hospitality industry, and create comfortable conditions for both guests and residents. (State Tax Service)
