Teachers in Zabaykalsky Krai have again complained about delays in salaries and bonuses. As reported by “Chita.ru”, this concerns technical schools in the regional capital and schools in the Mogocha district. According to the appeal received by the editorial office, college workers in Chita have been experiencing salary delays since the beginning of the year. “Staff at the Zabaykalsky Transport Technical College were told that there would be no February salaries, even though the March advance should have already been paid… Live as you please on public holidays, without gifts for your wives, children, and parents. Total chaos, no one cares about teachers,” wrote the author of the complaint. According to him, the “abandoned to their fate” teachers now lack funds “even for food”.
According to a teacher at one of the schools in the city of Mogocha, teachers in the district center and other settlements of the region have not received payments for class supervision for January and have been left without bonuses for March 8. The payments are recorded in the pay slips, but the teachers have not actually received them, explained the interlocutor. “They were supposed to transfer the money on February 14. The March advance was delayed by 8 days, and the class supervision payment for February should have already been received, but the January payment is still missing,” reported the teacher. Problems with payments to teachers in Zabaykalsky Krai, as in many other regions, are exacerbated against the backdrop of the largest deficit in the regional treasury in at least the last decade. In December, the authorities approved a budget with a “hole” of 12.2 billion rubles (out of 174.5 billion rubles in expenditures) (The Moscow Times).
