The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate additional subsidies from the state budget for communities located in the combat zone or near the contact line. It concerns 180 communities in 9 frontline regions.
“On behalf of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we continue to provide systematic support to the frontline regions. The Government has already allocated UAH 1.8 billion for 180 communities in nine regions – Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv. The funds will be used for the most urgent needs: emergency restoration works after shelling, construction of protective shelters, purchase of special equipment for utilities, as well as repair of critical infrastructure, including heating and gas networks,” said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development.
According to him, this is a mechanism for regular assistance to communities.
Last week, the Government allocated another UAH 1.5 billion in the form of an additional subsidy for frontline communities and regions under constant threat. (Government portal)
