The Kyiv Investment Forum 2025 is planned to be held in Berlin in October-November. As reported by the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk, Kyiv and Berlin have concluded a memorandum on this.
According to him, holding the Kyiv Investment Forum in Berlin symbolically emphasizes Germany’s solidarity with Ukraine, its support and significant role in the partnership for the development of the Ukrainian capital.
“Today, Berlin plays a leading role in the political and economic life of Europe. It is a center of innovation. Therefore, the German capital is an ideal place for a meeting of international leaders, investors and experts who are united by a common desire to assist Kyiv in its recovery and development,” said Mykola Povoroznyk.
He added that this year’s forum would be dedicated to the economic recovery and sustainable development of Kyiv in the context of war. The focus will be, in particular, on innovation, energy efficiency, digital transformation and environmental security as the main areas of attracting investment in the recovery and development of the Ukrainian capital.
“Today, Kyiv is the capital of resilience. Despite hostile missile and drone attacks, the city lives and works. In the context of constant threats and challenges, Kyiv has survived its third winter, and all the city’s life support systems are currently operating normally. The city is restoring damaged residential buildings and social facilities, and implementing important infrastructure projects. Kyiv’s resilience contributes to even greater unification of Europe and increased attention of local communities to issues of sustainable development in the context of challenges and threats. The forum participants will focus on the strategic partnership between Kyiv and European municipalities in promoting innovation, sustainable development and inclusiveness,” said Mykola Povoroznyk.
The Kyiv City Investment Forum, organized by the Kyiv City State Administration, has been held since 2012. Due to the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and the associated security risks, the Forum was held in the Belgian capital in 2022 and 2023 at the invitation of Brussels Mayor Philippe Clos. For the Ukrainian capital, the event became the main platform for promoting the development of international partnerships, attracting investments and presenting innovative solutions for sustainable development.
