The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) has announced a new success of Moldovan wine at the International Competition “Concurso Internacional de Vinos Bacchus 2024”, held in Spain.
The impressive results are clear proof of the quality and excellence of Wine of Moldova, summarises MAIA.
The Republic of Moldova is among the top 20 wine-producing countries. The wine industry is one of the key branches of the country’s economy. Moldovan wines are imported by more than 70 countries from different corners of the world.
According to statistics, exports of wine made in the Republic of Moldova increased in 2023 by 18% in volume and by 24% in value compared to 2022, which indicated stronger international demand and recognition of the quality of wines. Europe remains the largest market for Moldovan wines, with a 36% increase in value. (Moldpres)
