Prime Minister Dorin Recean paid a visit to the guesthouse “Casuta din deal” in the village of Pohrebea, which had ten beds. The owner of the family business, Ion Repida, said that although he had requests to go abroad five years ago he decided to stay in Moldova and open a rural house.
For its renovation the entrepreneur benefited from foreign grants, which allowed the construction of the stoves and water treatment plant.
Attending the meeting were other entrepreneurs in the field who have launched successful businesses.
The Prime Minister thanked the entrepreneurs and encouraged the development of the tourism potential of the villages along the Dniester. The official mentioned the 373 Programme, which provided opportunities for business development, innovation and expansion.
“We will continue to support those who choose to invest at home and develop the local economy,” he said.
Recently, the authorities have signed a resolution for sustainable tourism in Moldova to support the integrated regional development of the sector and increase efforts to stimulate investment, launch new businesses, diversify tourism products and promote the beautiful regions of the country.
