Prime Minister Dorin Recean has provided details on the delivery of diesel from Romania, meant for the agricultural producers from Moldova.
“The state does not have storage capacities. And it is not about the bringing of a cup of diesel; I apologize for analogies. The idea is that we have 4,000 tons; this is very much. Initially, there was an idea to bring it to the Giurgiulesti port. And at that time, nobody agreed to provide this storage capacity. Why? Because this is a certain type of diesel and, respectively, after this storage capacity, after the use, must go through a costly technological process. Accordingly, the people simply did not want to provide this capacity,” Dorin Recean said.
The PM also said that the government had managed to persuade an economic agent to put make available this storage capacity.
“Just several days ago, I discussed with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu of Romania; this week, the emergency ordinance of Romania’s Cabinet is to be adjusted and this will launch, in several weeks, the process of bringing the diesel and its distribution,” Dorin Recean added.
