Warsaw and Tashkent will soon have direct flights, as Uzbek diplomats have met with the president of LOT Polish Airlines in Warsaw.
The Polish airline plans to initiate these flights from March 2024. Relations established during a summer visit to Uzbekistan by the airline’s delegation, involving discussions with the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Agency, “Uzbekistan Airports” JSC, and “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC, have yielded positive results.
The president mentioned that, in line with tradition, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and other officials would be on the inaugural flight to Uzbekistan. Recognizing the substantial demand for the Warsaw-Tashkent route, the airline intends to operate four weekly flights from April to June 2024. Fiyol highlighted that the airline could transport up to 40,000 passengers annually on this route. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
