Moldova will have direct flights from Chisinau to Morocco and Egypt. Cabinet approved on November 22 the initiation of negotiations on the draft Agreements between the Moldovan government and the governments of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The agreements aim to set cooperation relations in the air transport and strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the states. The documents provide for the principles governing the operation of bilateral air services, namely aviation security, tariffs, taxes, certificates of airworthiness and competency.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development communicated that the conclusion of the agreements will contribute to the diversification of destinations at the Chisinau International Airport and will bring economic benefits for the country, by increasing passenger traffic and increasing competitiveness on the domestic aeronautical market.
