The Greek air company Aegean Airlines has launched the Athens-Chisinau-Athens flights. They will take place twice per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The airship, which made the first flight Athens-Chisinau on November 3, landed at the Chisinau International Airport. It was met moving towards a platform under an archway of water triggered by two special firemen’s vehicles and the first passengers and officials present were met traditionally with bread and salt by airport’s representatives.
According to the Moldovan authorities, the agreement with the Aegean company is a result of the efforts to diversify the aviation services which operate on Moldova’s market.
