The Customs Service collected over 725.9 million lei to the state budget on October 9-15. So far this year, the Customs Service has collected about 26.8 billion lei to the state budget (about 36.3 million euros), up by 2.9% YoY.
The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.
Private people brought goods with customs value exceeding the non-taxable limit, and payments in the amount of over 28.5 million lei were collected, which represented 3.9% of the total amount collected for the period.
Last week, 12,419 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 79,846 crossings. The most transited customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 18,691 and 14,029 crossings, respectively.
In terms of combating fraud, 62 violations of customs legislation were found and fines of over 173 thousand lei were applied, the Customs Service summarized. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
