The development of an advanced public procurements system is the basic principle promoted through the national programme on the development of public procurements system for 2023-2026, approved by the Cabinet on August 30 at an initiative of the Finance Ministry.
The main goals provided for in this programme refer to: approximation of the national legislation to the EU’s acquis, re-engineering of the electronic system of procurements, development of mechanisms for ensuring the sustainability of procurements, creation of conditions of economic and social efficiency of the procurements procedure, strengthening the capacities and professionalization of the staff in charge of procurements.
“The programme comes up with a systemic approach, based on a well-defined logical framework in the development of the public procurements system and was worked out for the implementation of the strategy of development of the public money management, for establishing the priorities, measures in the public procurements sector, as well as for backing the national policies and strategies of development,” Finance Minister Veronica Sireteanu said.
The programme is adjusted to the goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, which Moldova has committed to enforce. Also, the programme contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the European Moldova 2030 National Development Strategy. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
