Prime Minister Dorin Recean on June 9 presented the main amendments to the State Budget Law in the plenary session of the Parliament. They were criticized by the parliamentary opposition.
“It is important, beyond the crises we manage, to restart the engines of the economy, and that is the objective of the rectification. We need to increase investments to produce the necessary revenues, including in the budget. Investments must produce more jobs and higher wages. We have made progress in the sense of the gradual decrease of inflation, which has already dropped by 17%, and respectively, until the end of the year, we must pass from the phase of recession to the phase of economic growth,” said Recean.
As for salary increases, the prime minister said that the Republic of Moldova needed a public administration that had an effective administrative capacity.
“The Government needs good specialists to prepare Moldova for EU accession and to be able to negotiate including investment projects. We have the obligation to gradually increase the salaries of all. The salary problem is everywhere in the administration of the Republic of Moldova, including the economy, but we must attract competent resources that will generate income,” he said.
Also today, he said that through the AIPA, the government would pay 900 million lei from the agricultural subsidy fund by late July.
“As we also agreed in previous years with the farmers, who are really experiencing financial difficulties, that by the end of July this year we will pay the money from the subsidy fund through AIPA. We have increased the processing capacity of the files, it is a technical thing that must be done, and in this way we have accelerated the processing capacity so that by late July, not by the end of the year, we will disburse all 900 million,” he said.
