The State Fiscal Service (SFS) will implement a voluntary compliance program for HoReCa taxpayers in the coming months. This topic was discussed at a meeting between deputy head of the institution Valeriu Vlas and representatives of the National Association of Restaurants and Recreation Facilities of Moldova (MAR).
The program is based on an analysis of taxpayers in the HoReCa field through the indicators declared during 2022, especially of the economic agents that provide public food services through the cafe, restaurant, confectionery, pastry shop, pizzeria subdivisions. The main indicators that the tax authority focused on were the declared average monthly salary and the registered tax burden.
Valeriu Vlas said that the expected actions refer to informing taxpayers in the HoReCa field, monitoring their activity and paying fiscal visits.
If upon completion of the voluntary compliance program taxpayers will ignore the recommendations of the tax authority, then the SFS will apply forced compliance measures. The representatives of the MAR Association appreciated the initiative as a constructive one. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
