The government supports the legislative initiative on amending the law on authorization of construction works, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, the ceiling of payments established annually by the decision of the local Council when issuing the urban planning certificate for design or the informative urban planning certificate and the construction/dissolution authorization is to be excluded. Currently, the maximum limit for the urban planning certificate is up to 50 lei, and for the construction/demolition permit it is up to 100 lei.
According to the amendments, it is proposed that the payment of the respective tax be determined based on a methodology approved by the government.
“According to the draft of the Urban Planning and Construction Code, which is at the finalization stage, for the issuance of the urban planning certificate and the construction/dissolution authorization, the applicant will pay the payment established annually by the decision of the local council, in accordance with the regulation approved by the government. When the Urban Planning and Construction Code enters into force, the Law on the authorization of the execution of construction works will be repealed,” Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija said.
