As much as 93.9 million cubic metres of natural gas was consumed in February, down by 31.4% YoY. At the same time, the consumption dropped by 22 million cubic metres or by about 2.3% MoM. The Moldovagaz enterprise unveiled figures to this effect on March 10.
According to Moldovagaz, compensations worth 552.3 million lei (27.6 million euros) were calculated for household consumers, over 577,000, in February, depending on the energy vulnerability category assigned. Also, another 9.1 million lei was provided as compensations to those over 13,000 household consumers from the associations of residents. In the case of the legal entities, the total value of compensations stood at 25.1 million lei in February.
As of February 28, the household consumers paid 92.7% of the invoiced sums, up by 0.5% YoY. The enterprises from the energy and thermal sectors from Moldova paid the invoices at the level of 50.2%.
374 consumption units were disconnected from the natural gas distribution network, as the debts of their holders amounted to about 7 million lei. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
